Dellen lives in Des Moines, IA with her husband David and son Damien. She's a full-time Development Manager for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Des Moines where she raises critical funds to support five essential programs that empower individuals and strengthen families across central and Southwest Iowa. Outside of work, she serves on multiple nonprofit boards and generously donates her time to numerous charities.
Dellen began her photography journey back in high school and this journey lead her to become a traveling school, sports, and commencement photographer with Lifetouch. During that time, she photographed thousands of individuals, mastering the art of quickly and effectively posing people to achieve the best portraits possible. This skill (often overlooked by other photographers) allowed her to master the art of capturing authentic, flattering portraits tailored to each face and body type.
Driven by her passion for both photography and philanthropy, Dellen transitioned into the nonprofit sector, where she discovered a passion for capturing the heart and soul of fundraising events. While many event photographers prefer to remain on the sidelines, Dellen takes a different approach. She actively engages with guests, sparking conversations and encouraging them to showcase the beauty of true connections. This interactive style not only results in dynamic, heartfelt images but also helps create lasting memories for the people she photographs.
